When my wife and I first traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand ten years ago, we had heard about the mysterious hill tribe people, the colorful Thai handicrafts and wonderful northern Thai charm. However, we weren’t quite prepared for the fabulous experience of the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar. This is where we met the group of artists who were creating these absolutely amazing hand-drawn portraits. Their skill was remarkable. We purchased a few drawings and thought little about it until we returned home.

It wasn’t long after we displayed our drawings that friends took particular interest in the detail of the artwork. As more and more friends requested portraits, an idea for a business was hatched. It took awhile to formalize our plan; putting together the necessary resources took some time, as well as developing the right contacts in Thailand. But once these things fell into place, our little idea finally had some legs.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the process take after ordering my portrait?
About 3-4 weeks depending upon which “Submit Photo” option you choose. Sending your photos through postal mail will take a bit longer, as will selecting some framing options.

How long will the portraits last?
Our artists use a special, treated drawing paper they claim “will last up to 100 years”. Please note, the carbon dust drawing can smudge easily. Make sure to frame the drawing and insure the portrait’s beauty.

Where do I go to answer questions about my order? You can email us. You can also contact us in writing.

What if I’d like a portrait with more than 5 people?
We can process portraits on larger sized paper with more than 5 people. However, these special requests will require a bit more process time and a special price.

Can I send pictures of my animals or pets?
Yes, our artists can draw amazing animal portraits and pictures. Similar to ordering people portraits, select the number of animals, full or half body and paper size. It’s that simple.

Does your web site accept payment other than credit card? What about a money order or personal check?
