About Our Artists

Like one generation passing along skills and craftsmanship to another, our team of Thai artists have developed their unique drawing skills from their elders. Apprenticing and studying for many years, they’ve honed their talent and become masters of hand-drawn black and white portraits.

Our team of artists specialize in a detailed and ornate black and white carbon dust drawing. As Somkiat, one of our artists says, “The carbon drawing is very simple, just need paper, Chinese brush and carbon dust. This is it. Only this can give life to the drawing.” Give life to the drawings indeed. When you look at these drawings, you have to look twice to make sure they aren’t a photograph or a picture.

This unique art form originated in northern Thailand. Thai artists are the masters of capturing the history of one’s face in black and white. Our artists: Somkiat, Ekachai and Duhng promise to create a hand-drawn memory that will last a life-time.
